Crush (Crave Book 2) by Tracy Wolff

This book did NOT disappoint. I am NOT one for spoilers or ya’ll would be IN TROUBLE! Crush is Book 2 to Tracy Wolff’s Crave, and it does not disappoint. The story picks up right where the first book left off, with the main character, Grace, turning herself to stone. After four long months in stone, she comes back with no memory of what happened to her.

“I’ve always been a monster Grace. You’re the one who’s made me human.”

Crush Book Review

I enjoyed this book more than book 1. Yup, I said it. Crave was good but, Crush was better. Less Twilight annoyances. More down and dirty story line.

I felt like the author flexed her muscles more in this book with the storyline and used her own creativity rather than borrowing from a friend. Thanks for that. I was able to love your characters. xo

One thing that still hasn’t improve though and I’m currently on book 4 is the author’s need to prove how smart she is. Ya’ll I read a lot. I love learning new words. Seriously I do and I can hang with the best of you with your smarty smart pants. But I am so over being in the middle of a fight scene or a dreamy, steamy scene and having to look up an damn word because this author constantly feels the need to show how smart she is.

If I didn’t love the books so much, I wouldn’t read any further because of how annoying it is. These words aren’t anything common either. They are bizzarro ass words that I will flat out call you a liar if you tell me you knew the meaning of them.

Crush Book Review

So, I got this book from Amazon. Book release date September 29, 2020.

It’s listed as Crush (Crave Book 2) on Amazon.

The Plot

Again I say, this book did not disappoint. I had a hard time putting it down. The 737 pages seemed to fly by. I found myself getting wrapped up in the story.

These are a few of my favorite things:

  • Grace comes into her own. I’m not a spoiler, but you’ll see. Thank you for not leaving her a fragile human!
  • The variety of the paranormals at the school is more elaborate and interesting!
  • The people who rally to Graces team are fun.

They character dynamics and interactions was well woven. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline.

Moving on past the Twilight parallels.

“If heaven made someone, earth can fine some use for them.”

Characters

There are new characters introduced in this book who you are going to love. The relationships between the characters already know flourish and you gain a better insight into many different facets of their lives. At the end, hold on tight and take a deep breath!

My Thoughts

I can see why this is yet another smash hit, must read for Tracy Wolff. Despite the annoying vocab lessons she likes to force on my, this was another great book. Wolff does a fantastic job of expanding the world in which these characters were introduced to in Crave. She teaches you about the different paranormals, their history and the politics of her fantasy world. It’s fun and the writing style is captivating. It was easy to fall into this book and get immersed.
